From you post, I see beaches, great architecture, hiking, and old forts, so I think there’s enough to draw people there. The temples look amazing. Is it crowded though; is it a popular destination? And the food, brilliant?
Food is good specially the konkani food 🙂 it is quite offbeat so you won’t get crowd 🙂
This stretch of coast looks magnificent and having a beach to yourself sounds like my idea of heaven.
I was fascinated reading about Ganesh Gully as well. I wonder what prompted the idol to be placed there? Do you know?
.
It seems we would love Harihareshwar – we are more into nature, quiet, and small temples than big urban cities. Adding to our next India trip!
Ganesh Gully looks like a great site to visit in Harihareshwar, I love how the statue is positioned at the perfect place between those parting rocks. Looks like a great way to escape city life and get into a relaxing area!
What a relaxing way to celebrate New Year’s Eve and welcome the year ahead! Your photos, as usual, are beautiful! Love how it seemed you had the beach all to yourself! Is it usual? Or just on the day of your visit because of the holiday?
Looks like an amazing place! I had never heard of it before, thank you so much for sharing this! 🙏
This place looks so relaxing and the photos are so beautiful. You are giving me major wanderlust, I would love to watch the sunrise in harihareshwar!
Great post! I always love to have a nice holiday. Thank for your suggestion!
Bankot Fort would be on my must-visit list. The beaches look amazing and so tranquil. The Ganesh Gully looks like it would be quite a workout, but those amazing views would make it worthwhile.
Thanks 🙂
The landscape is so amazing. I like the tranquility, too. I have visited many beaches but they are always full of people. I love the beach here.
Thanks
I never even knew this place existed! Those beaches are so beautiful and the sunsets must have been absolutely spectacular to see in person. I like that the area has a good mix of nature and spirituality what a peaceful and serene spot.
Thank youuuu
I was not aware of this place and that is also near to us. Will definitely explore this beautiful landscape. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you 🙂 Hope you get to go someday soon
I´ve been in India once, in the north. It´s a big country, impossible to really know. Mumbai it´s a region that i want to go, maybe i can go here too!!
How about snorkeling? That first photo looks amazing and for sure, if you could go beach hopping, somewhere between beachers are coral reefs waiting to be explored.
True!!
Sounds like a wonderful place for some relaxation. I have never heard of Harihareshwar before so thanks for putting it on my radar!
Thanks for stopping by
Of late, I have been finding tons of material on offbeat Maharashtra destinations and this is one more addition to that list. Ganesh Gully is so scenic. I would like to set aside a week to explore places this part of the coast in detail.
I just wrote in another comment that I have no bucket list – well, there are a couple of countries I certainly want to visit, and India is one of them.
It’s nice that there is such a pleasant beach destination so relatively close to Mumbai – the beaches look really wonderful – and so do the temples.
But I’d mostly love to hike the Ganesh Gully.
Wow! This is amazing. Next year when I’m Pune, this will definitely be on my list of places to visit.
Serene Ravine …….. Advantage !
The first thing you will notice about Serene Ravine is that it is a homestay. You come and live in our home, when you stay with us. That gives you a feeling of family – the same hospitality, concern and warmth that you get when you visit nice relatives! Its not like staying in an impersonal hotel at all.
